Christine PERGENT-MARTINI’s research interests concern (i) the study of costal ecosystems (Seagrass beds and coralligenous assemblages) in the Mediterranean Sea (characterization of these biotopes, investigation of their functioning and response to environmental changes), (ii) the impact of invasive species in coastal environments, more specifically: Caulerpa taxifolia and C. racemosa, and (iii) the Evaluation of environmental quality (biodiversity, WFD?, Standard Data Form). She is author of 16 book chapters and around 80 publications in international journals (citation report/h-index is 20. She assumed the scientific direction of the RAC/SPA? (MAP – UNEP?), between 2006 and 2009, and was involved in the promotion of the Action Plan for the conservation of the coralligenous and other calcareous bio-concretions in the Mediterranean Sea.
